The new addition to the Rappahannock High School is almost completed, and the students are getting settled into their daily routine.
Earlier days in the county were quite different. There were several one room schools. The students shared one teacher with grades one through seven.
Sycamore School was a one room school located on Route 600 in what was known then as Sycamore Hollow, Rappahannock County. Now its’ known as Sv/indler Hollow. It was closed in 1939 with Miss Mary Miller Wood being the last teacher who taught there for the last two years.
