Hsing Tzu in last week's letters, I was not surprised that the Gore people would be delighted to have Mr. Bush stop campaigning and just stay home to "stand immobile "like a cock of wood.”
For one thing it would make the original stiff, A1 Gore, look less conspicuous, and for another, it would mean that Gore could cut back on the campaign trail.
