Members of the Amissville Area Community Association
(AACA) have suggested that there may be a misunderstanding concerning its position regarding commercial projects in and around the community. AACA does not oppose commercial enterprises for the village and district.
In fact, the Association By-Laws specifically state its full support for existing businesses and encouragement of enterprises which "enhance the quality of life and property value". However, we also are committed to "maintaining and improving our rural look and history".
Whenever possible, AACA intends to work with owners and developers to convey ideas from the Association about what is important to the community at large, and how any development can better benefit the community, it's character and it's overall future. We will also, most importantly, keep area residents informed of all public details of any proposed project so that they are fully aware of all impacts and benefits.
AACA has taken no position on the proposed Indian Run Golf Course. We recognize it is a valid use of this Agricultural Zoned property and can potentially benefit the area. The Association and course developer have had a close dialogue
