When he's through at Sunnybank, Hobson turns his attention to the four horses he trains, stabled at Gordon Keys' Beaverdam Farm.
"I have noticed as I've gotten older it's harder to keep my weight down," said Hobson, 32. "So I play in a soccer league, which helps with that and keeps me fit."
In addition to his early morning riding schedule, he plays soccer four nights a week and watches what he eats during the season.
Of Hobson's favorite courses, Bull Run's Brandywine Park wins hands down.
