The Ladies' Warren Memorial Association and the William Richardson Camp, United Confederate Veterans, assisted in preparations for the unveiling occasion. The orator of the day was Judge A.E. Richards, a distinguished lawyer of Louisville, Ky., who had been a Major in Mosby's Battalion.
Sept. 23, 2000 represents the 101st anniversary of the unveiling of the Mosby Monument in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal. The Warren Rifles Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, successor of the Memorial Association, and the Col. John S. Mosby Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, successor of the United Confederate Veterans, will co-host this Memorial Ceremony to these gallant men who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The services will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Mosby Monument in Prospect Hill cemetery. The public is invited to attend.
