Washington, Va. on July 18, 1917, the third child of the late William and Margaret Hunter.
Ms. Hunter joined First Baptist Church in Washington, Va. as a young child and was educated at an early age in Washington. She then continued her education in Washington, D.C.
She later joined Unity Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. She was president of the trustee auxiliary, one of the founding members of the Gospel Choi .s and served on many committees through the years.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by three sisters; two brothers and eight brothers-in-law.
Survivors include five sisters, Mary Wilison of Bristol, Pa., Frances Faulk of Norfolk, Margaret Freeman of Warrenton, Hazel Cosfum of Lewisttown, Pa. and Joyce Beelham of Tampa, Fla. and a sister-in-law, Mary Hunter of Baltimore, Md.
She was a mother to a host of nieces, nephews, greatnieces and great-nephews. She
