Baarns’ painting shows*' Saluter’s trainer and regular jockey, Jack Fisher getting a “leg up” from handler Juliet Lombardy in the paddock before going out onto the Great Meadow racecourse. Saluter is always notably calm and confident when “Riders Up” is announced. The other horses in the painting do not exude Saluter’s confidence, and the tension shown by the other horses is in sharp contrast to Saluter’s clear focus.
