Mr. Kennedy's presents- ■ tion will include discussion of the conservation and historic preservation issues raised by the recent proliferation of power plants in Virginia and other parts of the United States. Mr. Kennedy is involved in a challenge to one of several power plants pro-1 posed in the Hudson Valley. ■ PEC has supported efforts challenging power plant proposals in Fauquier, Orange, Louisa, Albemarle, Fluvanna1 and Loudoun counties. : .•
The event will begin at; 9:30 a.m. Morning work-,, shops/presentations will be followed by a picnic lunch and Mr. Kennedy's address. To ■ cover expenses of the event,. PEC requests that members, attending the event make a, , $25 voluntary contribution. PEC also invites non-members to the event; and requests they make a $50 contribution, which includes a one-year membership. A continental breakfast and lunch by Hot Cakes are included in the. price.
