To the editor:

The Inn at Little Washington (I understand that there was objection to the use of this name also) has been in the news recently— not only locally but nationally. The New York Times had a long article on the Nouvelle Rappahannock Cuisine as practised by Patrick O’Connell in a "jewel of a country inn". The Washingtonian Magazine in extolling the beauty of the town mentions the Inn pointedly. There is not a list of best restaurants that does not mention the excellence of The Inn at Little Washington.
