I was just coming off the midnight shift of my job when I decided to drive over and see this community I was writing about. Writing the Chester Gap news had so far entailed a few phone calls. I wanted to know more. I wanted to get a feeling for Chester Gap and the people who lived there.
The dawn had just begun to arrive when I turned on the road marked Chester Gap. As the unspecting inhabitants slept I toured the little community built right on the side of a mountain. I have no idea what mountain it is but it must be famous because it merits a Civil War historical marker.
The first two houses I spotted were carefully landscaped with bright red flowers, Lots of bright red flowers and huge white pots of flowers on the porches
