“I’ve always felt from past drug arrests made as a deputy sheriff, from information we’ve received from citizens and through my further education in narcotics with the State Police that due to our isolation and close access to the metro area, we have a growing problem in narcotics that needs our serious attenton.
“Later on, we can hopefully incorporate the position for a deputy sheriff who has a solid background in narcotics to follow up on investigations and to involve himself in possible drug areas of the community.
