The zoning administrator said he’d asked Gentry to attend the planning commission’s meeting. “He said he was going in the hospital but that he’d try. Then last week, I saw him attempting to record the plat that the planning commission received at the last meeting (and did not approve the requested variance).” Konick noted that the clerk of the court had refused to record the plat. “I reminded him about the meeting and he said he would come but he’s not here. . . He mentioned something about he was going to stop paying taxes on the six acres and let the county sell it for back taxes,” the zoning administrator added with a wide grin.

He reminded the commissioners that if the six acre subdivision is approved as an exception to ordinance requirements for road frontage, it will leave a balance of about 116 acres in the quarry tract, 40-50 acres of which are zoned industrial.

By unanimous vote, the commissioners again tabled Foster’s subdivision application.
