THE NETWORK TERMINATION INTERFACE
The Virginia State Corporation Commission (“Com minion") propoMt adopting rules governing the point •operating telephone company-provided facilities and Customer Premises Wiring (CPW). The Commission proposes that a telephone company-provided demarcation device or network termination interface serve as the de marcation point between Customer Premises Wiring ("CPW") and telephone company facilities. The demarca tion device would employ the industry's standard mod ular jack and plug, which permits the disconnection of all CWV from the telephone company network by simply removing the plug from the jack.
