The Commission has proposed these rules at a result of various actions taken by the Federal Communications Commission concerning expensing station connections and detariffing customer premises equipment. Moreover, from time to time various telephone customers have sought to be able to install their own telephone wiring within their premises, and certain telephone companies have filed tariffs with the Commission which would permit customers to install or to have installed their own telephone premises wiring.
The text of the proposed rules can be examined during normal business hours at the Commission's Document Control Canter, Floor B1, Jefferson Building, Bank and Governor Streets, Richmond, Virginia and during normal business hours at telephone company offices where customer bills may be paid.
