It was more of a 'B' meet than a junior varsity contest. They just called it a JV race because they wanted to let the eighth graders run,” Spieker explained.
"Jon (Dodson) and David (Fishbein) had a good race. They paced and challenged each other over the ,‘t. 1 mile course,” the coach said.
Both boys finished in 20:25, according to the Apple computer's scoring printout, Fishbein in 20th and Dodson in 27th.
