To the editor: Intelligent and supportive action by every citizen in behalf of effective soil and water conservation is a goal of the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District. To achieve this goal, the Culpeper District supports a continuing public information program. During American Newspaper Week September 25 - October 1, 1983, the Culpeper District and the Soil Conservation Service wish to extend their appreciation to the Rappahannock news for their excellent new's coverage, through stories and photographs, during the past year on activities of the District. Keeping the public informed is an essential element in carrying out an effective program of conservation. Thank you for your help in expanding public understanding of local conservation issues. E. C.
