Rappahannock Supervisor Nelson Lane has reported that negotiations with authorities of another county, who had been considering the acceptance of Rappahannock’s trash, have broken down.
According to Mr. Lane, citizens in that county became upset when an attempt was made by a private firm to locate a waste facility there. Mr. Lane said that he had minimal information concerning the recent developments in that county regarding their decision to refuse Rappahannock’s refuse.
Mr. Lane refused to name the county because there is a possibility that it may still re-consider the matter, “They were kind enough just to discuss it,” said Mr. Lane.
