The final two races at Glenwood are an open hurdle race, at two miles, and an open flat race for 3year-olds over six furlongs.
Old Dominion Hunt
Horsemen head back into the mountains for the seventh race meet of the 1986 season, the Old Dominion Hunt races at Ben Venue.
The meet, Saturday, April 5, begins at 10 a.m. with pair races for the usual divisions, adult optimum and fast time, and junior optimum time.
Juniors open the regular meet with horse and pony radfes^on the flat at noon, followed by the ladies timber race at 1 p.m. The next race is on the hurdle course for the First Colony owner-rider hurdle series and will be at two miles. A 3-mile novice timber race for horses that have not won more than one race either at the point-to-points or the sanctioned meets follows.
The fifth race is a maiden hurdle race over IV2 miles which will be followed by the Old Dominion Hunt Cup for owner-riders over timber. The day’s final two races are an open hurdle race and an open turf race.
