Milton Norman
Milton Daniel (Pete) Norman, 76, of Woodville, died Friday, February 14,1986, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Rappahannock County, son of the late William 0. and Mollie Settle Norman. Mr. Norman was a farmer and former employee of the Virginia Department of Highways. His wife Lizzie Heffline Norman died in 1975.
Survivors include four sons, Daniel M. Norman and David A. Norman, both of Woodville, Ennis A. Norman of Castleton and John W. Norman of Washington; three daughters, Mrs. Flossie Wharton and Mrs. Rena M. Burke of Woodville and Mrs. Mary Wiley of Amissville; 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Additional survivors include a brother, William B. Norman of Front Royal; four sisters, Mrs. Susie Settle of Rixeyville, Mrs. Sallie Hawkins of Culpeper, Mrs. Margaret Burke of Front Royal and Mrs. Lou Fortune of Strasburg.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 18 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edward Hawkins and the Rev. John Burke officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were his grandsons, Kenneth Norman, Steven Norman, Timothy Norman, Richard Burke, Randall Norman, Frank Wiley and Kinsey M. Wharton.
Reginald Wayland, Sr.
Reginald B. Wayland, Sr., 59, of Annandale, died Saturday, February 8, at Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church.
Mr. Wayland was bom January 2, 1927 in Rappahannock County, son of the late Henry Gordon Wayland, Sr. and Mary Frances Bruce, also both natives of the County. Bom and raised in Castleton, he graduated from Sperryville High School in 1945 and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was currently employed as a construction foreman for Furman Builders of Rockville, Md., his employer of 31 years.
Mr. Wayland is survived by his' wife, Lelia Ann Wayland of Annandale; three daughters, Rebecca S. Wayland of Vienna, Lisa Wayland Cook of Norfolk and Equity ^fayMnd of the home address; one son, Reginald B. Wayland, Jr., of Springfield; one infant granddaughter, Ashleigh L. Wayland.
Additional survivors include five sisters, Myra Wayland of El Paso, Tex., Georgie Wayland McChesney of Sandston, Genevieve Wayland Imbach of Culpeper, Frances Wayland Hyman of Silver Spring, Md., and Barbara Wayland Blalock of Warrenton; two brothers, Henry G. Wayland, Jr., of Castleton and Edward H. Wayland of Woodbridge.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, February 11, at the Deniable Funeral Chapel, Springfield by Rev. Sam Jones of Warrenton. Interment was in the Woodville Cemetery.
