“We’re walking a fine line between the two, and I’m not sure which way to go — it depends on the market. If I had my druthers I’d split the two off and be a breed magazine and a specialised baroque magazine. But there’s no market for both and it’s hard enough with a magazine like this to pay the bills.”
At present the magazine has only 100 paid subscribers worldwide, though included among these is actress-model-rider Bo Derek.
If the magazine can double its advertising and subscription numbers, the Mill-hams think it will start to show a profit, and they may even start publishing bi-monthly, or even monthly — though they intend to hire more staff first.
