Morgan Andreae was again awarded a gold medal with 25 silver and 53 bronze medals earned by other Wakefield students.

Horst Lockhart, the administrator of the ski program at Bryce, commented that of the area schools with ski programs at Bryce, Wakefield had traditionally had the largest proportion of skilled skiers. The ski program at Wakefield was begun in 1978 and is the most popular sport offered by the school.
