Lt. Pullen

graduates

Second Lt. Karen A. Pullen, daughter of John W. and Dorothy J. Pullen of Sperryville has graduated from the U.S. Air Force Intelligence officer course at Lowry Air Force Base, Colo.

During the course, students were taught the use of maps, charts and photography for preparing and conducting intelligence operations and briefings. They were also given a survey of world military and political systems.

She is a 1985 graduate of Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas.

Baines on

dean’s list

Robert Ashton Baines, of Washington, has been named to the Dean’s List at Randolph-Macon College.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Baines.

Students qualify for the Dean’s List if they have been enrolled in no less than 12 semester hours, earned a quality point ratio of at least 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale, and earned no grade below C- in academic subjects in that term.
