The couple firmly believes that both the Andalusian and the Lusitano will gain popularity in this country — they have only been imported in modem times since the late 1960s because of an export ban imposed in Europe.
If the breed takes off, and the magazine starts to pay for itself, Mrs. Mill-ham’s goal is to breed a number of purebred and halfbred „ Andalusians and to have a Quadrille
(a small group of four or five) of trained horses and riders that could compete at Grand Prix dressage level..
It’s an ambitious dream, to be sure. But, then, so too is learning to ride with only one arm and publishing a magazine. Having managed these two, there’s no reason why Mrs. Millham shouldn’t reach her goal with her husband’s help and the couple’s faith in the Spanish and Portuguese horses.
