A portrait of Mrs. Phelps, painted by Henriette Wyeth, hangs in a sitting nook near the large dining room. Her uncle, ‘Willie’ Phelps, has also given them two watercolors by Andrew Wyeth which will be on display for the tour.
Philip attributes their beautiful home to Tucker Clark and his family who have done most of the construction.
