Age: 55 Residence: Washington Married, two children, one grandchild A) I personally do not think the taxes are too high in Rappahannock. I do feel vye are not receiving what we are paying for. Some of the salaries in the budget are not in line. The Board of Supervisors will have to make more prudent decisions of the budget items. I believe the ball fields should have a much lower priority for funding over more important issues, such as office space and condition of. the facilities now in use. B) Rappahannock County will have to maintain volunteers for fire and rescue. We cannot afford to have paid personnel. As a last resort I would have to support the paid personnel if there becomes a period of no service. Maybe we could pool the companies together in a central location. Pferhaps we could have a charge for services rendered to generate needed revenue. The volunteers should be compensated in some way when injured in the line of duty. I don’t believe the Fire Levy tax should be based on land use value.
