The annual Bowen family reunion held on Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Rappahannock Park near Washington drew an average crowd.

Fifty members of the clan gathered under the shelter during a drizzly overcast sky, a welcomed relief after the hot dry spell during the month. Lunch was served at one o’clock, with blessing being said by W. F. Baldwin.

After enjoying too much food, we then passed the hat for a collection to cover the expenses of the day. Next, everyone was given a raffle ticket and participated in a Chinese raffle.
