Internationally acclaimed sculptor, Frederick Hart, who lived near Hume in Fauquier County, is memorialized in a cover story in the October issue of Art & Antiques magazine.

Hart, who died last month, had supported environmental causes effecting Rappahannock and Fauquier counties; he had been a member of a number of local organizations.

Hart is best known for his statue of the three soldiers at the Vietnam Memorial and his major work at the National Cathedral in Washington

Rappahannock writers and photographers, Esther and Franklin Schmidt of Woodville, who are regular contributors to Art & Antiques, were assigned this last interview with Hart and photographed him and his home for the feature.
