• RCMS parents Mrs. Ellen Neill-Dore and Mrs. Beth Hilscher spoke at the Copjity Supervisors’ meeting last week in support of the new eighth grade program at RCHS.; We appreciate their positive comments concerning this new and innovative approach to working with our middle school students. y, \
• RCMS has announced that the first seventh grade fund raiser of the year will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 21. Proceeds will go towards the class trip to Williamsburg in the spring. Students will be selling holiday items such as wrapping paper, decorative items and assorted gifts. If you prefer, you may opt to make a monetary donation instead of making a purchase. You may make that donation payable to RGES. Thank you for supporting our students as they work to fund this wonderful trip.
• It has been very exciting seeing so many talented artists at RCES lately working with our Artist in Residency program. Amazing musician Paul Reisler, best known locally for his work with Trapezoid, and Rose Marie Prins, incredible visual artist, have been working with students during the past two weeks exposing them to many wonderful ideas and artifetic forms.
• Mrs. Lilo Wolfe has agreed to serve as sponsor for the Student Advisory Council -this year at RCES. The council is open to students in grades 4-7. In the past Council members have organized various social activities for'students as well as Spirit Days at RCES. Last
