Joining a growing number of professionals who are returning to the Culpeper region following training and initial experience elsewhere, Dr. Walter Kilby, M.D., has opened his office for the practice of pediatrics and adolescent medicine at 540 Sunset Lane, Culpeper. He is also serving on the medical staff of Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kilby was bom and reared in the F.T. Valley of Rappahannock County.

Proclaiming Constitution Week, Washington Mayor Dean Morehouse affixes his signature to the official document, as former Regent Mrs. Douglas Fairfax of the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution watches during a recent photo opportunity. Jon Heddleston, president of the Rappahannock Unit of the American Heart Association announced the names of the officers and board members who will serve for the 1989-90 Heart Fund Campaign. Those nominated and approved are in addition to Mr. Heddleston, Eino Siira, Vice President and Residential Campaign Chairman; Doris B. Donald, Secretary and Communications Chairwoman; Anna Marie Davis, Treasurer and Food Festival Chairwoman, assisted by Ann Miller, Dr. Jerry Martin, Medical Advisor; Lillian Aylor, delegate; and Virginia Cloud, Memorial Chairwoman. As the new director of Middle Street Gallery in Washington, Janet Bouffard’s first priority is to bring the arts into the community. Ms. Bouffard, a native of Birmingham, Ala. and a resident of Rappahannock since 1987, replaced interim director Laurie Marshall on Aug. 1 and became the second director of the gallery which was founded by Dan Lewis in 1981.
