So for one to attempt to identify and isolate "the greatest” would be an over-simplification of a situation which requires an extraordinary amount of skill, dedication, determination, analysis and discussion to find appropriate solutions for the “many challenges" which will be faced in the years ahead. It is fine to have visions for the 21st century (and I too, have visions), but it is much more important to keep focused on the day-to-day problems of our school system, and to me that means doing a better job at keeping the community informed on matters relating to the operation of the school system so that they don’t have to rely on misinformation, gossip, innuendo, etc. on which to draw their conclusions. B) Here too, I think the use of such terms as “runaway budget" and “budget out of control” is over-simplification, and may even by construed as accusatory and needlessly argumentative. More to the point, I believe the budget for the school system does need some serious study and analysis, after which I am sure some adjustments can be made. This, too, requires some very careful consideration.
