The Amissville 4-H Community Club will hold its first meeting on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church. Interested children aged 9-19 are welcome to join. Adult volunteers are needed. Married women living in the Rappahannock area who would like to compete for Mrs. Rappahannock International are encouraged to request an application by calling (540) 989-5992. The contestants will be judged through an interview and will include modeling an evening gown and aerobic wear. They will not model swimsuits.
Mrs. Rappahannock International will receive a prize package valued in excess of $5,000, an official title, and a sash. She will then compete next year on June 3 and 4 at the Mrs. Virginia
