Marvin Dodson

Marvin Sullivan Dodson, 78, of Castleton died Saturday’ Sept. 11 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 5, 1920 in Rappahannock County to the late Joseph Sullivan Dodson and Bertha Margaret Dodson.
Mr. Dodson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served in World War II. When he returned home from war, he began farming.
He is survived by two brothers, Glen E. Dodson of Kokomo, Ind. and Calvin F. Dodson of Stafford; one niece and two nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 17 at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. John S. Farrar officiating.
Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.
Bessie Jett

Bessie Mary Jett, 83, of Huntly died Monday, Sept. 13 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
She was born July 28, 1916. She was a home health aide.
Survivors include two daughters, Julia Fletcher of Germantown, Md. and Alicia Poles of Huntly; two sons, Henry “Bobby” Jett of Winchester and Bernard Jett of Huntly; one brother, Otis Jordan of Amissville; 16 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Sept. 17 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill with the Rev. John Pendleton. Burial was at Culpeper National Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Joynes Funeral Home Inc. in Warrenton.
