This William Bowen Jr. and his wife, Anna Beahm who were married in Shenandoah County, are buried at the old John Henry Waters Cemetery in Thornton Hollow, Shenandoah National Park.
William Bowen Jr. is the progenitor of most of the reunion attendees. Thomas Bowen was ancestor of another branch of the clan by his daughter Mary’s marriage to Edward Bolen in 1828. Edward and Mary were parents of 14 children.
Next year’s reunion will be held on Aug. 19, 2000, same place and time. Please pass the word so that other branches of this old Welsh family might connect with their lost roots.
