BY LORI FERREIRA Admissions Coordinator Wakefield Country Day School got the school year off to a great start with 158 students in pre-school through twelfth grade. • Summer break was not without opportunities for learning. On June 5, Mr. Wood’s Biology class took a field trip to the Walter Reed Museum of Medical History in Takoma Park, Md. where they had a “hands on” look at plasticized human organs, leeches, and electron microscopes. A highlight of the trip was viewing the fascinating collection of diseased human tissues. The group also visited the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the Smithsonian Castle, where they experienced a 3-D temporary exhibit with holographic images of multicolored viruses. • Cory Koral of Jordan River Farm was host to eleven Wakefield Country Day School
