Throughout America’s steeplechasing history, champion jumpers have come in many shapes, sizes, colors and hues. This empirical study tried to prove, or disprove, the ‘worth’ of a horse with a blaze face, a star, a snip, stripe or dot. But, as can be easily seen, there is no set pattern to what type of face marking defines a champion.
