The Flag Day meeting June 10 of the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, began with a luncheon at the home of Mrs. Edgar Puryear with Mrs. James Rumpler and Mrs. William Wetsel as co-hostesses.
Mrs. Dale Metzinger of Sperryville conducted the last meeting of her three-year term as Regent of the Culpeper Chapter. She is turning the gavel over to Mrs. Zillah Gutowski, who graciously but humbly accepted the responsibilities of the office of Regent.
Mrs. Gutowski spoke of the progress of the chapter under the leadership of Mrs. Metzinger and of her appreciation for the chapter’s confidence in electing her the Regent for the coming three years.
