Criticism is a sure way to destroy communication and marriage. What rational person would even attempt to communicate with someone who guarantees a rebuttal to their ideas? Secondly, do you express your love for your mate through words? The assumption that he or she "knows" that you love them is a poor excuse for holding back those three simple but precious words, "I love you." Love is not love until it is expressed. The love that God puts in the heart of a born again Christian is a love that constantly expresses itself. You may feel awkward saying I love you” the first time or two, as it may have been years since you've said it. But it will soon come natural to you. Thirdly, when was the last time you took the time just to talk with your mate? If you don't have the time to spend with the partner God has given you for life, then you’re too busy. Good, honest, open communication takes time. You might enjoy taking a walk together or watching the sunset, but set aside time to share your innermost thoughts, your dreams and plans. Then you will begin to enjoy what marriage is all about, becoming one. But only with the help of God, the creator of marriage, can you make it work. Won't you invite jesus into your life and marriage today? If we can help you with your marriage or your spiritual life, please call us. 987-8505 Nuggetts of Truth Rev.
