The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department has a full schedule of activities this summer for all ages. Four one-week sessions of day camp will be held at six elementary schools throughout the county during the month of July. Bus transportation is provided to and from camp, and a minimal fee is charged for the program.
The Handicapped Day Camp will be held again this year at Vint Hill Farm Station. Limited transportation will be provided from designated locations. The camp will operate July 8 through August 1 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. A minimal fee is charged for the program.
A variety of youth sport camps are scheduled including boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, coed gymnastics, coed volleyball, coed soccer, coed tennis, girls’ softball and girls’ field hockey. Ages, costs, length,and hours vary.
Swimming instruction will be provided by Parks and Recreation at Vint Hill. Classes will be held for infants and toddlers to senior lifesaving. Five sessions will be held with
