Club had Mr. George H. Davis, Jr. as their guest speaker at their meeting held June 9. Mr. Davis spoke to the group on Wills and Deeds, the topic selected for June meetings. He explained the value of a will and the way it should be written.
Five hundred members of the Virginia Association of Future Homemakers of America Chapters in Virginia high schools will meet in Roanoke at Hotel Roanoke on June 19 for their 16th annual state convention. Representing the Rappahannock Chapter will be Sue Many, Bonnie Brown, Mary Frances Pullen and Mrs. Glenna Bennett, Home Economics teacher at Rappahannock County High School, who is advisor to the local FHA chapter.

John S. Buckner of Sperryville
killed a four-foot rattlesnake Friday on his farm located in Broad Hollow. The reptile was stretched out in high grass and made no attempt to strike when Mr. Buckner killed it with a mattock. It had 13 buttons on its tail.
