Renee Viguerie was looking for more than a summer job.
The James Madison University senior wanted to spend her summer doing something related to her major, early childhood education. She also wanted to work close to home. Her parents, Richard and Elaine Viguerie, live in Washington, Va.
Renee Viguerie got her wish.
Miss Viguerie is teaching at the Child Care and Learning Center outside Washington. She is in charge of the school-age summer enrichment program, where she works daily with two full-time and four part-time students.
This is the first year that CCLC has offered a summer program for school-age children. “Mary (Tauss, CCLC’s director) said to do what you want,” Miss Viguerie said in explaining the program. “The kids provide the interest and we plan around that.”
