On Saturday night the grand prize drawing was held. Anderson Builders took the $1,000 first prize. The company is donating half of the money back to the Amissville Fire Department. Silas Grigsby was the lucky second prize winner, and Judie Graham won the third prize. Ellen Kephart, Maria Walden and Thomas Wharton also had their tickets chosen.
Mr. Sheffield added that “the members of the department and the ladies’ auxiliary want to thank everyone in general for their support. It was a good carnival this year, and we’re looking forward to a better one next year.”
