Lord Fairfax Community College is offering a 1986 Summer Youth Enrichment Program for upcoming fourth through twelfth graders. Programs have been scheduled in the areas of computers, photography, geology, microscopes, puppetry, physics, wheel-thrown pottery, weaving, soccer fundamentals, jazz dance and secrets of study success.
Enrollment in some of the programs is limited, and registration is on a first come, first served basis.
Introduction to basic programming, for fourth through eighth graders, will teach participants how to effectively operate and program a microcomputer. The course will meet Monday through Friday, June 23-27, and Monday through Thursday, June 30-July 3, from 9 a.m. to noon. The fee is $54.
Basic photography will cover such topics as lighting, selecting equipment, composition, flash photography, and how to take quality photographs. The class will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, June 23-27. The course is for grades 6-12 and
