The Governor’s Cup is a private, non-profit corporation but it has the support of, and is working with, state officials. The profits from the tournament will be donated to the C hesapeake Bay Restoration Fund administered by Virginia’s Council on the Environment. The entry fee, which is $100 per boat, is a tax deductible contribution.

Organizers hope that the Governor’s Cup wrill become a major annual event that will bring anglers and state officials together to celebrate the Bay and keep the momentum of the Chesapeake Bay restoration effort iroing strorur.
