A demonstration of a musical kur will be performed by locals Regula Lorenz and Kate Antrim.
If her horse heals in time, U.S. Dressage Team member Gretchen Verbonic will perform the “ballet” of the horse world.
The Warrenton Hunt is scheduled to put on a foxhunting exhibition complete with hounds.
Ethel Conrad of White Post is bringing her prized sheep dogs to show the old way of herding sheep.
Blacksmith Fred Cleveland of Marshall will be on hand for demonstrations of the ancient art of making and fitting horseshoes.
If you own a pony or a horse and want to take part in the activities you might consider entering one of the three flat races. Entries will be accepted until Friday for the pony, large pony, and junior rider races. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.
Those who are not as interested in horses can spend the afternoon strolling through the meadow wildflower patches on a tour to be led by Jocelyn Alexander and Gary Fleming of Warrenton.
