Anglers will by vying to catch the largest fish, by weight, in six eligible species: bluefish, flounder, gray trout, speckled trout, croaker and spot. An award also will be made to the angler catching the largest other marine game fish recognized by the International Game Fish Association, excluding sharks and rays.
The anglers landing the largest of each eligible species in the overall tournament will receive the Governor’s Cups. Anglers catching the largest of each eligible species at each of the separate tournament ports also will receive trophies and awards. Separate awards will be provided for children under the age of 16.
Tournament entrants will be allowed to fish anywhere in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. The
