The Marine Corps leadership award was presented to Sharon McAllister of Winchester and the citizenship award went to Brad Pendergraph of Haymarket.
Each year the Headmaster presents two awards. David Rowzie of Amissville was named earlier in the year and Molly Dunning of Boyce was presented with the plaque on Sunday. The school’s most prestigious award, named for the late Dr. William E. Lynn. Sr., was presented to Sean Bennett for earning the highest average for the year among over 100 prep school students.
The commencement address was delivered by Carl Anderson, Head of Domestic Issues in the .Office of Public Liaison at the White House. Mr. Anderson noted that the evening was a time to pause and celebrate the accomplishments of the year as well as a time for gratitude to the Lynns.
Dr. Lynn, assisted by faculty members Nancy Lowry and Lee Buratti, then presented the diplomas to the class. Seven students received the school's highest diploma, the Advanced Honors — Classical/Scientific requiring 35 credits. Six students received Advanced Honors diplomas, either
