The Questions
All five current members of the Board of Supervisors are seeking reelection. Two of them have been challenged on the ballot.
All candidates for the Board of Supervisors were asked the following questions in addition to basic biographical data:
1. What do you feel are the main strengths of Rappahannock County and its local government?
2. What do you feel are the main weaknesses of the county and its local government?
3. What challenges do you expect the county to face in the next four years?
4. Should the county close the dumpster sites at Scrabble and Huntly and replace them with a fenced, centrally located, and manned recycling and trash collection site?
5. Will the county’s Comprehensive Plan and ordinance be able to prevent suburban sprawl in Rappahannock County?
