Coughlin
Browning Lee Coughlin, 70, of Culpeper, died on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at his residence.
A native of Boston, he was the son of the late Morse Amos and Hattie McFarland Coughlin.
Mr. Coughlin was a retired manager of the A&N Store in Culpeper. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Culpeper.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Hawkins Coughlin; two sisters, Arizona C. Keenum of Washington D.C. and Blanche C. Rice of Centreville and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Lyle Washington Coughlin, Marvin Thomas Coughlin, Clyde Lewis Coughlin and Raymond Amos Coughlin and a sister, Mabel C. McDaniel.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Oct. 20 at Culpeper National Cemetery with the Rev. James Durham officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bobby Rooper.
Pallbearers were Robert Cooke, Leslie Wood, Everett Dowell, Paul Karnes, Marvey Butler, Arley Estes, Fulton Lucas Jr., Kenneth Norman, Stephen Norman and Paul Reynolds.
Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
