To the Editor:
As the election for Rappahannock County Sheriff approaches we should take the remaining time to reflect on the real issues. This election will not be determined by a count of the most signs provided to supporters, nor will it be determined by slogans and unsupported allegations.
It will be determined by our assessment of the candidates based upon our personal knowledge, consideration of the information provided by the candidates and the media (almost exclusively the Rappahannock News), conversations with our neighbors, and finally by our instinct as to which of these outstanding law enforcement professionals is the best choice for ourselves, our families and the community.
My family has lived in the county for almost twelve years, and has known John Henry Woodward as Sheriff and neighbor for the same period. As Sheriff he has shown himself to be the kind of law enforcement team leader required in a large county
Paid Advertisement The Democrat literature circulating Rappahannock County in no way indicates my endorsement of Sue Scheer or the Rappahannock Lion’s Club endorsement of Sue Scheer. I will support the candidate that l feel will do the most for Rappahannock County.
