1. Its strong zoning, and its Supervisors’ commitments to the people of Rappahannock.
2. That the General Assembly restricts the counties’ ability to govern on a local basis. By this I mean they set policy that doesn’t apply to our area or needs.
3. 1 expect the tounty to face new challenges in the area of local taxes versus the amount of state and federal aid that is passed down from the system, our ability to pay based on the composite index.
4. 1 believe this is something that will have to happen in order to protect the county and save money. The possibility of something getting in our landfill that will cause us to shut down or have a very large cleanup while these sites are open 24 hours a day and unmanned is very real.
5. I believe that if the Supervisors and Planning Commission continue to update and address problem areas, our Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance will continue to keep Rappahannock County on a safe course.
